We are currently seeking highly motivated hospitality professionals for the position of Breakfast Line Cook to join our team at the beautiful Doubletree by Hilton - BWI Airport.
Job Overview
Our Line Cooks are responsible for cost effective preparation of quality food in safe and efficient compliance with proper food preparation and handling, policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management.
What You Will Be Doing
High school education plus schooling in culinary arts or related major. One or more years of related experience. Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service. Ability to understand and comply with proper food preparation, cooking, handling and storage. Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort
Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Schedule will be from 5:30AM to 1:30PM, Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.

What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare all hot and cold food items.
- Responsible for consistency and quality production; ensure all food is served according to specifications and standards.
- Additional responsibilities include maintaining kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
- Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
- Learn all menu items produced by assigned station; perform work assignments to meet quantities within the necessary timeframe.
- Accurately refrigerate and properly serve cold food.
- Meet standards for production of orders.
- Always maintain all safe food handling requirements and procedures.
- Work with the Chef to learn daily work tasks, their coordination and completion with daily prep list; be knowledgeable of all stations, plate presentation, preparations of all menu items; and ensure accurate and proper communication with all other team members before, during and after service.
