The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked weekly.
The Activity/Director of Fun manages staff and day-to-day service operations of the Ekal Center, it’s programs and activations. The Activity Manager manages responsibilities in alignment with senior management, Company policies and procedures, brand standards and local, state and national regulations. Responsible for quality service, meeting/exceeding financial and service goals, and managing within approved plans and objectives. Contributes to and recommends budget, capital expenditures, inventory controls, sales and business plans, and short/long term planning. Reports, investigates and resolves violations to internal controls, policies, procedures, standards and regulations.
Education And Experience
High school education or equivalent experience. Three or more years of related experience. First Aid and Boating License required.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service. Operate a computer, calculator, phone, and other office equipment. Attention to detail with good organizational and efficient time management skills. Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort
Work is normally performed both indoors and outdoors. While performing job duties, the associate speaks, listens, completes documents, processes request and operates office equipment such as a telephone, calculator, computer, copier and fax. Physical requirements include extended periods of standing and/or walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The work involves some exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment. The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses. This position is required to operate a motor vehicle.

- Develop and coordinate activity/event calendar with management and staff.
- Manage Boat Captions and Rental Shop staff.
- Seek vendors for outside entertainment bookings.
- Maintain booking system Fare Harbor
- Schedule games and other in-house activities that reflects the resort's needs. Vary the activities to ensure the schedule appeals to as many guests as possible. Activity schedules should not interfere with other resort events and may need to complement other scheduled events.
- Promote participation during each event.
- Plans, coordinates, and implements programs, classes, and special hotel-wide events/activities that promote a healthy, active lifestyle and fun.
- Coordinates the planning of all outside vendors and be the point of contact regarding billing, planning, and set up.
- Inputs and reviews ADP payroll system.
- Attend daily stands ups and weekly EC meetings.
- Prepare weekly schedules.
- Responsible for instructions in safety procedures, ensuring waiver forms are filled out.
Education And Experience
