Job Overview

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front desk. This role ensures that all guests receive exceptional service and that all front office functions run smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with hotel policies and standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist in ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction by addressing complaints, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Welcome VIP and repeat guests and ensure they receive special attention.
  • Monitor guest feedback and collaborate with the team to improve service quality.
  • Supervise front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and billing.
  • Ensure that all procedures and standards are followed by staff to maintain smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc.) to meet guest needs and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and developing front office staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, updates, and challenges.
  • Generate reports related to occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in implementing policies, procedures, and hotel systems.
  • Respond to emergencies and manage challenging situations efficiently and calmly.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in front office operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in property management systems FSPMS and MS Office.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Working Conditions & Physical Effort

    Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and / or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.
