Job Overview :
The Overnight Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and provides support security support during overnight hours. This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently to address any issues that may arise during the night shift.
Full Time and Part Time positions available.
This position works 11pm - 7am shifts.
What you'll be doing :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for any maintenance emergencies that occur during overnight hours, such as power outages, water leaks, or equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot problems and implement temporary solutions to minimize disruption to hotel operations until permanent repairs can be made.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and projects as assigned.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any safety hazards or code violations.
- Patrol the premises regularly to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and any follow-up required.
- Communicate with management and other team members to provide updates on maintenance issues and ensure a coordinated response to any challenges.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort :
Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and / or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.
