What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Hand position at TPG Marinas?
TPG Marinas is hiring a Dock Hand as part of the support team members for the 2025 Season. This full-time seasonal position will work directly with the TPG Marinas team to support the day to day needs of the marina including vessel cleaning and coordination of onboard provisions. This position will work with multiple departments within TPG Marinas to facilitate the marina running smoothly and ensure a high quality customer experience.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with removing mooring covers
- Ability to work the fuel dock and ensure customers are supported in their purchases
- Prepare boats for scheduled outings.
- Maintain cleanliness of the yachts: wash, polish chrome, clean teak floors, clean engine compartments, replace oil sorbs as needed.
- Outside dockhand position with schedule to include weekends and some holidays.
- Strong customer service and communication skills required
- Boating experience is a plus but not required.
- Will be operating equipment to include tractors/mowers/hoist/etc
- Any other duties as assigned by TPG Marinas and the direct Manager
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Must have reliable transportation for use during work day
- Evening, weekend and holiday availability required.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work on a team and independently.
- Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling
- General boating knowledge is a plus
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas. Comfortability with ladders and confined spaces is required. Ability to work in the elements regularly.
