What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Investment Performance position at TPG Staffing?
Our client, a leading Fintech and services company, currently seeks a motivated and experienced candidate to serve as the Vice President or SVP of their GIPS Complaint Performance Measurement Platform which is integrated with their leading global wealth management platform used by over 120 banks and other financial institutions. This position is located in their headquarters in Middlesex County, NJ. This position will lead a team of Investment Performance Analysts, ensuring that they provide timely and accurate performance analytics and reporting for their most sophisticated wealth management clients.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring the consistent review of performance results at various levels : securities, segments, and total portfolios on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis – managing a team of resources dedicated to this task.
- Facilitating communication with various departments / groups and Investment analysts regarding the validity of outliers at the security, segment, and total portfolio level.
- Providing leadership and guidance to a team of Investment Performance professionals.
- Face off with the Clients to answer any questions and provide new enhanced solutions if needed by the Client
- Providing recommendations on best practices for data quality and share information on existing issues impacting investment performance results.
- Ensuring Investment Performance Analysts calculate turnover and an Internal Rate of Return for a single portfolio or an aggregation of portfolios on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis.
- Supervising the monthly reconciliation of cash variances.
- Assisting Investment Performance team in creating, updating, and reviewing indices / benchmarks on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Monitoring the team’s calculation and validation of risk statistics such as standard deviation and Sharpe ratio and calculation of investment multiples on an ad hoc basis.
