Tableau Administrator
This is a REMOTE position.
This is a 3-month CONTRACT
$45/hr
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful deployment, configuration, maintenance, and management of our Tableau environment. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, implement best practices, and ensure the Tableau environment meets the organization's analytical needs.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain and optimize Tableau Server to support business intelligence and data visualization requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other key stakeholders to understand data visualization needs and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to create and manage Tableau datasets from underlying data sources.
- Monitor Tableau Server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Create and manage user roles, permissions, and access controls within Tableau Server.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Tableau Server configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training and support to Tableau users on best practices and usage guidelines.
- Perform regular backups, upgrades, and patches to maintain a stable Tableau environment.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator or in a similar role.
- Tableau Server certification required.
- Strong understanding of Tableau Server architecture, configuration, and deployment.
- Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and database management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Experience in implementing security protocols and data governance practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field a plus.
