The Assistant Kitchen Manager will work closely with the General Manager to deliver a memorable experience for the restaurant's guests and associates. The Assistant Kitchen Manager position offers an opportunity to work alongside a group of professional, hard-working, energetic people who are all empowered to do whatever it takes to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ability to work in a team environment and lead the kitchen staff in following the prescribed systems is essential to this position. This position requires a minimum of two-years of kitchen experience.

Key Responsibilities Include

Experience and Personnel Development:

• Participate in the hiring, orienting, training, and development of personnel within the kitchen area.
• Directly supervise, guide, and motivate kitchen personnel to ensure efficient operations.
  
  

Menu And Food Preparation

• Daily review and evaluation of event sheets to create preparation sheets.
• Monitor food inventories and minimize waste through effective utilization.
• Contribute to the development of recipes and plate specifications.
• Ensure timely and attractive presentation of all food items and dishes.
  
  

Sanitation And Quality Control

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and support areas to meet health standards and hotel policies.
• Monitor portion sizes to maintain consistency and control costs.
• Monitor the quality and timeliness of food preparation to uphold standards.
  
  

Financial Management And Reporting

• Participate in monthly inventory processes.
• Control costs through efficient inventory management and portion control.
• Complete appropriate Serve-Safe and food safety classes as required.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• High School or G.E.D.
• Requires a minimum of two years of kitchen experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Computer/Technical skills are a plus.
• Carrying/Lifting to 50 pounds.
• Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
