Shop Helper
Temp (3-4 week project)
Pay : $17-$20
1sh Shift : Monday – Friday 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm (hours may vary depending on production needs)
Summary :
The Shop Hand will assist machinists and other skilled workers in a machine shop, supporting the fabrication and assembly of metal parts and products. This role involves manual labor, machine operation, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Shop Helper Responsibilities
- Assist machinists with set-up and operation of various machine tools (lathes, mills, drill presses, etc.)
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts
- Deburr and clean machined parts
- Organize and maintain tooling and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Frequent lifting, bending, and standing
- Exposure to noise, dust, and oil
- Use of safety equipment (gloves, eye protection, ear protection)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
