Quality Control Inspector
Pay Rate : $24 / hour
Shift : 1st shift, occasional daily overtime and weekend work may be required
This position is responsible for ensuring that parts meet all tolerances, specs, mechanical properties, as well as documenting all non-conforming features and characteristics

- Attendance and punctuality are expected upon accepting this position
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures (steeled toed shoes, safety glasses and other Personal Protective Equipment that is required must always be worn while performing job)
- Maintain high ethical standards
- Inspect parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to drawing and prints
- Understand and follow verbal and written instruction
- Perform incoming inspection for supplier product in accordance with industry standard AQL sampling plan
- Assure that manufactured product meet quality control standards, engineering specifications and customer requirements
- Participate in investigation and disposition of nonconforming products and returned goods
- Read and interpret material test reports and heat treat / mechanical certs
- Demonstrate a personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
- Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed
- Initiate corrective action requests when conditions are averse to quality
- Complete, inspect and distribute all quality records and documents, as necessary
- Participate in Lean events with active involvement in CI initiatives
- Perform “First Piece” inspection throughout assigned Product Group Line / Value Stream
- Perform “Final” inspection throughout assigned Product Group Line / Value Stream
- Assist Product Group Line / Value Stream in quality problem resolution
- Perform in-process audits throughout Product Group Line / Value Stream
- Document all inspection and testing results
- Maintain all document files and test records in accurate manner
- Initiate non-conformance report and assist in corrective / preventive action report determination
- Perform 100% inspection / sorting as required
- Assist with writing and updating of inspection procedures and checklists
- Support actively all H-F Continuous Improvement efforts
- Verify with Gage Calibration that all inspection standards / gages are calibrated and kept up to date
