Job Summary:
The Fiscal Accounts Clerk I will perform a variety of accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of fiscal records and transactions for the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and process invoices and payments
- Maintain financial records and files
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions
- Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a fiscal accounts clerk or in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
