About the role:
As an Accounting Manager at TQL, you will lead key accounting functions, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role requires a hands-on leader to drive financial insights, process optimization, and team performance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations for Cash Conversion including AR, AP, and GL processes.
- Lead the team, fostering a culture of excellence in service, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely fashion in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Anticipate, recognize, and act on financial exposures and opportunities.
- Review reconciliations and provide support to team for resolution of anomalies and open items.
- Develop and implement financial processes, operational improvements, and internal controls.
- Independently prepare and analyze financial and operational reports, providing actionable insight to senior leadership.
- Support requirements gathering and implementation for new processes, tools, and technology to improve efficiency of department operations, reduce operating expenses and streamline end to end processes.
- Effectively implement and manage changes with team and business partners.
- Set clear expectations and ensure team performance metrics are met and align with key business and departmental goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making while acting upon and communicating accounting related impact.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate issues to management as appropriate.
- Work directly with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion of audits.
- Effectively manage team performance by setting clear expectations, delegating tasks, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Develop employees for broader responsibilities within team and across the organization.
- Evaluate financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve profitability.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices to enhance team performance.
- Provide and seek 360 feedback.
- Assume additional responsibilities and assist with special projects as requested.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred.
- 5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles with supervisory experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and accounting operations within a large ERP.
- Highly proficient in financial software and Excel. Oracle experience a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects and manage concurrent responsibilities.
