Job Overview

Candidate should be capable of managing and supervising activities of a water well drill site, to include construction or decommissioning, be self-motivated, trustworthy, and exhibit a high level of organizational skill. Position will require good communication with Customers, field employees, and managerial personnel. Duties and qualifications or the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
DUTIES include, but are not limited to --
- Direction & Management of Field Production Personnel in the execution of drilling, plugging, casing, and cementing/grouting operations, with experience in acidizing and/or e-logging preferred,
- Transporting and Setup of heavy trucks/equipment to project sites,
- Operate drilling equipment in a safe and effective manner,
- Monitor and document progress of drilling operations, to include selection or modification of processes as necessitated by the jobsite geology,
- Site specific spotting for identification of drilling location in accord with regulations, overhead obstructions or utilities, and/or verification of grade and underground utilities
- Managing or coordinating materials inventory and delivery to the jobsite
- Jobsite timekeeping for payroll and job costing,
- Equipment Troubleshooting and Routine Maintenance
- Maintaining a Safe Worksite,
- Producing and Maintaining QC documentation of finished and in-progress work for submission to regional authorities, and
- Customer Communication
REQUIREMENTS include, but are not limited to –
- High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical experience,
- English speak, read and understand, with bi-lingual preferred,
- 4 years of experience in the water well drilling and service industry, with Candidates with local (Kendall & Surrounding Counties) experience preferred,
- 2 years of drill team supervisory experience and background,
- Documentation of work history,
- TDLR Water Well Apprentice License required, with TDLR Water Well Drillers License preferred,
- Proficiency with the use of basic computers and IT tools,
- Clean driving record and a valid Class A CDL Driver’s License, and
- Willingness and ability to travel where and when required in performance of job functions.
Work will be performed in outdoor settings in construction environments, and the Candidate should be capable of working extended time in a physically demanding position. Candidates should be physically capable of wearing required PPE, standing for long periods of time, have full range of body movement, and the ability to routinely lift 50-100 lbs.
Position is full-time, compensated hourly (non-exempt), and will require overtime on a routine basis. Qualified candidates will be eligible for a completion bonus based on productivity. Benefits to include eligibility for Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, and Paid Vacation.
