Title: Machine Operator (Temp-to-Hire) – $20/hr
Location: Phoenix, AZ (or specific location if applicable)
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Shift:
- Swing Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:30 PM – Midnight (initial 2 months)
- Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (after initial period)
Responsibilities:
- Weigh and load materials into a rigum blender (lifting tote sacks).
- Operate bucket elevators, hoppers, spinning desks, and agglomerators to create granular pearls.
- Monitor baking processes at 300°F and transfer finished products into tote sacks.
- Ensure proper moisture levels and prevent equipment clogs, troubleshooting as needed.
- Drive a forklift to transport materials safely.
- Maintain situational awareness and follow all safety protocols (e.g., avoiding direct contact with moving machinery).
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs to prevent downtime.
- Occasionally work on elevated catwalks and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in machine operation, manufacturing, or industrial settings preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix minor mechanical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with heights, moving parts, and heavy equipment.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate catwalks.
