Master Scheduler Job Overview:
The Master Scheduler will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned department for facility.
You’ll be a great fit if:
- You can serve as the primary point of contact for Sales, Engineering, logistics, and manufacturing departments
- You are able to collaborate with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs
- You can periodically compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed
- You are able to work with outside vendors; ensures accurate and timely delivery of orders
- You can integrate sales orders with master schedule; coordinate availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
- You are able to help maintain master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays
- You are willing to participate in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads and additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff
- You can cross train and support back up scheduler
- You can perform other duties as needed

Requirements
To be considered you’ll need:
- Two-year technical degree, a four-year degree is preferred
- 5 years' experience in the same or equivalent role ideally in a manufacturing organization
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP II
