Job Title: Discipleship Pastor
Reports To: Executive Pastor of Ministries
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment Status: Full-Time
General Responsibilities:As the Discipleship Pastor, you will oversee and provide leadership for various key areas of faith development, spiritual formation, and community engagement. Your role will be essential in helping our church grow in discipleship, equipping individuals to become more like Christ, and fostering deep, authentic relationships within the congregation.
Key Responsibilities:- Rooted
- Oversee the Rooted program, which is designed to help individuals connect with God, the church, and their purpose in life.
- Ensure that Rooted groups are run smoothly and in alignment with discipleship goals.
- Train leaders and facilitators, monitor group dynamics, and provide ongoing support for participants.
- Trace Group Life
- Lead the development, organization, and execution of small group ministries that foster community, spiritual growth, and accountability.
- Recruit, train, and support group leaders to facilitate life-changing conversations and group activities.
- Ensure groups align with church vision, discipleship goals, and Biblical teaching.
- Prayer Team
- Provide leadership and oversight for the prayer ministry, encouraging a culture of prayer across all ministries.
- Organize regular prayer gatherings, prayer teams for events, and provide training for those involved in intercessory prayer.
- Help facilitate prayer needs within the church and promote prayer as a cornerstone of discipleship.
- Marriage Ministry
- Lead the marriage ministry, providing couples with biblical resources and support to build strong, godly marriages.
- Develop and coordinate marriage enrichment events, small groups, and counseling resources.
- Oversee pre-marriage and marriage mentoring programs, supporting couples through various stages of their marriage journey.
- Faith Development Courses
- Develop and lead courses designed to deepen faith, knowledge, and spiritual growth for all ages.
- Coordinate a range of educational opportunities, including Bible studies, seminars, and workshops, for individuals and families.
- Create a pathway for new believers to grow in their faith and understand foundational Christian teachings.
- Faith Development Track
- Lead the development of a comprehensive Faith Development Track that guides individuals through different stages of spiritual growth—from new believers to mature disciples.
- Work closely with other ministry leaders to ensure a seamless and holistic approach to discipleship.
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the Faith Development Track.
- Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for discipleship and spiritual formation.
- Proven leadership and experience in ministry, with a focus on adult discipleship, small groups, and spiritual growth.
- Ability to train, mentor, and support volunteers and leaders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across various demographic groups.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pastoral or ministry leadership role (preferred).
- A heart for pastoral care and a desire to shepherd people in their spiritual journey.

Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
