What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Specialist position at Trace Systems Inc.?
Trace Systems is actively recruiting for an Audio/Video Systems Specialist to facilitate conference and collaboration systems in support of mission requirements, as part of the Base Operations Support IT team at the Los Angeles AFB.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Proactively design and develop technical systems recommendations based on assessing requirements to applicable technology, policies, priorities, systems capabilities and availability, operating practices and procedures, terms/conditions of systems, service contracts, and equipment/staffing requirements.
- Manage organizational scheduling of conference / AV Systems, requirements, resources as required to ensure success of customer collaboration objectives.
- Design and develop request management tools to manage customer requests for conference services.
- Lead engagements to coordinate operational system requirements with senior Military and Government requirement owners, Program Executive Offices, base officials and working groups, telephone companies, manufacturers, vendors, customers, and engineering personnel.
- Develop processes and solutions to manage equipment utilization and tracking, including processing sign-out requests, testing equipment prior to sign-out, inspecting equipment at turn-in, and recommending tech refresh of equipment to the Government
- Develop solutions to manage and deconflict timing of collaboration and conference events.
- Manage the delivery of mission critical voice, data, video, and multi-media services for events for supported remote locations.
- Develop and manage methods and procedures to ensure compliance with policies and ensure effective delivery of conferencing systems and services in support of mission requirements.
- Provide technical consultant and advisory services for conferencing service capabilities.
- Develop, coordinate, and publish information concerning policies, guidance and procedures related to teleconferencing capability and services.
- Design, develop and implement methods, procedures, plans, and techniques concerning conferencing services.
- Analyze existing and proposed systems and services for efficiency and economy, proactively evaluate and recommend solutions for emerging telecommunications technologies requirements. Design system work-arounds as necessary.
- Develop and conduct systems operational acceptance tests as required.
- Manage Tier 2 support processes and lead efforts as required to ensure mission readiness of other conference & collaboration systems with external support teams.
- Other duties as required.
Work is performed full-time on site in Los Angeles, CA.

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Trace salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, Trace provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, flexible spending accounts, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, company holidays and paid time off (PTO).
Salary Minimum: $60,000
Salary Maximum: $80,000
Minimum Qualifications
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Desired Qualification
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate desired
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or three (3) years of relevant experience.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
