Job Title: Director of Independent Living
Location: Tupelo, MS
Reports To: Executive Director
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Independent Living to lead our vibrant and active independent living community. This role requires an innovative leader who can think outside the box, create meaningful experiences, and foster a strong sense of community among our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors, the ability to manage a small but dedicated staff, and the vision to enhance the quality of life for a large community of independent Elders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of independent living at our community, ensuring a high standard of service and resident satisfaction.
- Develop and implement creative, engaging, and innovative programs that promote independence, wellness, and socialization.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment by building strong relationships with our Elders, family members, staff, and the local community.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of services and activities.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for the Elders, addressing concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
- Oversee budget planning and financial management to ensure operational efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the independent living experience.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven leadership experience in senior living, hospitality, or community management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for relationship-building.
- Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for developing innovative programs and initiatives.
- Experience managing a team and fostering a positive work culture.
- Knowledge of senior living industry regulations and best practices.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt to changing needs.
