Job Summary
The Maintenance / Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance of production equipment, facilities, and building systems. This role ensures equipment performance, reliability, preventive maintenance (PM), and inventory management while maintaining and repairing all electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and other building or property systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment and promote continuous improvement through facility and equipment upkeep.
- Maintain building sites in compliance with relevant regulations and safety codes.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs and supervise maintenance optimization activities.
- Participate in capital improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment, including Flexo presses, pouch lines, laminators, Cut Band machines, Shrink Band Machines, Converting Machines, Sealing machines, and warehouse equipment.
- Analyze equipment and maintenance data using tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and root cause analysis.
- Conduct equipment safety checks to ensure proper operation.
- Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of parts and tools.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new and existing equipment.
- Train Production / Warehouse employees on machinery operation and maintenance.
- Respond to service calls.
- Maintain familiarity with internal order scheduling, inventory systems, and department processes.
- Send weekly equipment status and project reports to the General Managers.
- Adhere to Safety and GMP (General Manufacturing Practices) policies.
- Oversee equipment vendors servicing the facility.
- Sustain 5S workplace organization initiatives.
- Conduct weekly safety training meetings for employees.
- Maintain maintenance supply costs within budget.
- Ensure scissor lifts, forklifts, and pallet jacks are in good working condition.
