Minimum Job Requirements for HR / Payroll, AP / AR, and Contract Clerk Positions : Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification or degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is a plus. Experience : At least 2 years of relevant experience in HR, payroll, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), or contract administration, preferably in an automotive or dealership setting. Software Knowledge : Experience with dealership management software (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK) is highly desirable. Payroll & HR : Basic understanding of payroll processing, tax filings, HR compliance, and employment laws. AP / AR Knowledge : Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, and account reconciliations. Contract Documentation : Ability to review, process, and manage contract documentation accurately and efficiently. Technical Skills : Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with accounting or payroll software. Accounting Basics : Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reports. Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees, vendors, and customers. Professionalism & Confidentiality : Ability to maintain professionalism and handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality at all times. Attention to Detail : Exceptional attention to detail in data entry, payroll, billing, and contract documentation. Organizational Skills : Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain clear, up-to-date records in a fast-paced environment. Analytical Abilities : Strong problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies in payroll, AP / AR accounts, and contracts. Legal Compliance : Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, payroll tax regulations, and dealership compliance standards.
