What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Summer Intern - Project Coordinator position at TRADE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY L?
Overview:
The Project Coordinator Intern will assist the project management team with various activities, beginning at estimating hand off to project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in the companies estimating and job flow process
- Become knowledgeable in all areas of fabrication, client specifications and requirements
- Participate in pre-job kickoff meetings with clients and other key players in the company
- Prepare Bid to IFC estimates and change orders
- Generate purchase requisitions for job material
- Follow up with material suppliers and Subcontractors throughout project to ensure the project continues to progress on schedule
- Prepare and issue Job Packages to the company’s shops and QC department
- Document Control for Project Management
- Compiles, tracks & distributes RFI’s, drawing submittals, welding procedure submittals, etc.
- Consults with clients during the project to resolve any questions/concerns that come up during the project
- Generate lump sum and unit price billings per contract requirements
- Comply with all Company Core Safety Rules, policies, and procedures
- Report any unsafe conditions wherever they exist to the safety department, their supervisor, or the management of Trade Construction immediately
- Report all incidents/accidents/injuries involving the health and wellbeing of any employee to management immediately
Qualifications:
- Able to read and interpret isometric and orthographic drawings
- Prior pipe fabrication shop experience and knowledge of pipe fabrication is preferred
- Professional ability to work well with client personnel
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proven organizational skills
