Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Guest Room Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day upkeep of our island resort's guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, restaurants, and lounge. This role involves responding to maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, and adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, repairing, and replacing equipment and fixtures.
- Respond to maintenance requests generated by staff members and guests in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all areas of the resort are well-maintained and clean.
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and resort property.
Requirements: Minimum 2-3 years of related experience. Possess a diverse skill set including basic knowledge of hand and power tools, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting skills, etc. Proven track record of 'doing it right the first time' work ethic. Working knowledge of resort operations is strongly preferred.
