What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respite DSP position at Tradewinds Services?
We are seeking Full & Part-Time Direct Support Professionals to provide RESPITE CARE services.
TradeWinds Services is a non-profit agency that has been providing support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities in Northwest Indiana for 50 years. We currently have Part-time and Full-time positions available.
RESPITE CARE
Our Respite Care program offers caregivers of children and adults with disabilities the opportunity for a short-term break. This allows them to care for themselves, spend time with other family members, or run errands without worry.
Respite Care staff takes individuals with special needs on outings to community-based activities, shopping, bowling, theaters, etc. This can also be provided in-home or at a TradeWinds Respite Apartment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide RESPITE CARE services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Take clients on outings to community-based activities.
- Assist with daily living tasks as needed.
- Ensure client safety and well-being at all times.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Reliable and responsible with the ability to work independently.
