Job Description: As one of our cabinet makers, you will play a key role in creating beautiful, custom cabinets and furniture pieces to meet our clients' unique specifications. Your role will encompass a wide range of woodworking tasks, from interpreting shop drawings and cut lists to constructing and finishing high-quality cabinets. You'll work closely with our designers and other team members to ensure projects are completed to our high standards, in a timely manner, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret shop drawings and cut lists to create custom cabinetry according to client specifications.
- Utilize woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components with precision and attention to detail.
- Apply expert finishing techniques such as staining, painting, and varnishing.
- Ensure all measurements and dimensions are precise to achieve the desired quality and meet project specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve project goals.
- Complete tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and knobs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a cabinet maker or in a similar woodworking role.
- Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery.
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and cabinet construction methods.
- Proven ability to read and interpret shop drawings and cut lists.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work well with others.
- Reliable transportation required for punctual arrival and daily work.
- Ability to do occasional lifting of 75 pounds.
