Assembly Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with various hand and power tools. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing, of traffic control equipment and components, plus CCTV within a controlled shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom traffic control cabinets from simple flasher units to complex traffic control systems connected to a DOT network.
• Design equipment for specialized applications or sequences.
• Assemble CCTV camera control components and cabinets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
• Any other duties as supervisor or the President may require.

Position Qualifications

Competencies & Skills:

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing and walking for long periods of time, lifting and carrying heavy loads of up to 50 pounds, etc.) and handle sensitive electronics safely with or without reasonable accommodation is required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude (Drilling, tapping, cutting) needed for this position.
• Base working hours of 7:00 - 3:30; Monday- Friday are required for Signal Service, Inc. or 8 am- 4:30 pm; Monday- Friday required for Traffic Control Products, Inc.
• Must have your own transportation, be a responsible individual who is reliable, dependable, and comes to work on time ready to contribute and work well with others.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Electric or electronic training is preferred.
• 2 years of hands-on electronics/electrical hardware and wiring preferred.
• Ability to read a basic wiring diagram preferred.
