Traffic Control Lead

Position Summary
The Traffic Control Flagger Lead is responsible for creating a safe work zone that ensures that traffic stays
out of the way of the workers on worksite. This involves the proper setup and placement of traffic control
devices that show traffic where to drive, as well as holding up signs to either stop or to proceed slowly.
Performance, Procedures and Efficiencies
 Load & unload work vehicle/trailer
 Drive company vehicles once certified
 Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations
 Aid in the set‐up and removal of traffic diversion devices, including: barrels, cones, signs,
barricades, rumble strips and other related equipment with direction
 Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals

 Meet Physical Requirements
 Able to follow direction

 Use of small power tools
 Use of Hand tools
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
 High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
 Less than one (1) year in construction
 Flagging Certification
 OWZP Training
 THM Driver Certification
 TMA Training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently sit, stand and walk. The employee will
frequently push/pull up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. The employee will also occasionally, squat,
kneel and climb and frequently bend. Frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
