What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Receiver position at Trailblazer Foods?
Position Summary
Responsible for various tasks to support receiving and distribution at main site warehouse. Tasks include loading and unloading trucks with various components and finished goods. Inbound inspections and documentation updating in computer system. May assist with wrapping finished goods and helping with FIFO and inventory accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to operate stand up forklift and sit down forklift
- Removes all unneeded things from the production floor.
- Stages materials in advance based on production schedule requirements and current state of production floor
- Wraps finished pallets coming off the production line and then putting it away in the finished goods area.
- Helps maintain inventory system to ensure accuracy on all details of items using AccountMate.
- Loads and unloads trucks using a fork truck or pallet Jack
- Ships product following Trailblazer’s shipping procedure/policy and writing down all the necessary documentation.
- Receives items per receiving procedure. Put away in a FIFO rotation (ingredients, packaging, etc.)
- Maintains shipping Log with all required information
- Maintains receiving log with all required information
- Tracks the transportation and usage of inventory.
- Interfaces with warehouse personnel to ensure coordination of product coming and going.
- Manages fruit thaw for production, and checks that correct product & amounts are received and labeled.
- Assists in monthly inventory and FIFO report.
- Helps in general warehouse duties when needed or time is available.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year food processing related experience
- Must be able to read, write speak the English language
- Use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools
- Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and to be conscientious about assignments
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
- Ability to exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Hearing protection must be worn on the plant floor.
