ABOUT OUR ROLE
Our Housekeeping Team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the entire resort with precise attention to detail. Laundry Attendants work with laundry equipment to facilitate the cleaning of all hotel linen while practicing good stewardship by ensuring inventory levels are maintained and quality standards are upheld.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
- Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and store all linen and towels for guest rooms
- Assist with proper inventory management by inspecting linen and towels daily for stains and rips, removing from inventory and reporting appropriately
- Practice high level communication skills within a team setting
- Follow all sanitary and safety regulations and guidelines when handling linen and operating laundry equipment
- Maintain good time management by always completing tasks with a sense of urgency
- Recognize and dispatch any maintenance items or safety hazards to the appropriate team member
- Assist guests with questions and requests when approached by being aware of events and activities available at the resort
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to accurately and efficiently report information
- Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance and work environment at all times
- Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to work in hot and cold conditions, lift, reach, kneel, and/or bend for up to eight hours a day
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- 1 years of laundry experience. Experience in a hotel or resort setting is preferred.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- Work safely to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries, wear protective equipment as required.
- Work safely to ensure company equipment is secure.
- Complete required training programs.
- Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to remain upright continuously on a firm surface for an 8–10-hour shift.
- Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid.
- Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
- Must be able to ascend to 12 feet in height on a ladder.
- Must be able to position oneself appropriately to efficiently make beds, carry trash, vacuum, sweep, dust and be able to assist guests with luggage and set up event rooms.
SCHEDULE
- Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
