What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, IT Support position at Trailer Bridge?
Summary:
Trailer Bridge is looking for an energetic, talented, and self-motivated go-getter to join our fast-growing company in this entry-level IT role. As an IT Support Associate, you will have the opportunity to develop a successful and energetic career and be given the tools and training to “Make it Happen”. You will be responsible for providing IT Help Desk Support for internal associates and bringing a positive and enthusiastic user and customer experience.
Essential Functions:
- Runner for installing basic desk hardware in Jax HQ, Jax Brokerage and JaxPort (TWIC badge).
- Train users on basic hardware installs as needed (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
- Enter specific set of recurring monthly IT invoice entries in Accounting spreadsheet and REQLogic (30 invoices of departments-60 invoices monthly.
- Receive and verify incoming hardware delivery orders at HQ and enter quantities into Asset Inventory Log.
- Assign and track hardware tags on IT equipment.
- Monitor workstation Inventory Log (monitor, laptop, docking station, keyboard/mouse, phones) and place internal orders within department to keep up with business demand.
- Communicate and collaborate with Branch Managers for IT needs (shipping/retrieval of HW).
- Assign new users/remove termed users to/from Company Systems.
- Handle inbound and outbound contacts in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
- Research systems to find missing information as applicable; coordinate with other departments to resolve issues as applicable.
- Comply with requirements surrounding confidential information and personal information.
- Escalate employee customer issues to the appropriate staff and managerial for resolution as needed.
- Ensure first call resolution through problems solving and effective call handling.
- Attend meetings and training and review all new training material to stay up-to-date on changes to program knowledge, systems, and processes.
- Manage vendor code requests, and work with Finance and Accounting to complete.
- Supports the culture of Trailer Bridge by modeling the attributes and TB12 Core Values of a TB team member.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree and/or IT Technical Education Classes preferred
- Skilled in MS Office Applications, SharePoint, and Microsoft Active Directory
- Basic knowledge of workstation equipment and setup, with expansion into broader equipment/architecture over time.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills
- Team player, being mindful and working well with others.
- Accountable and thorough with organizational skills.
- Willingness to ask questions and probe to find solutions.
- Flexible and able to roll with the punches/changes/moving targets.
- Motivation to get things done in a timely fashion and get them done right.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Services
- Experience with REQLogic Software
- Training in end-user experience
- Experience in third party purchase/shipping, hands on packaging, and tracking of hardware using third party software
- Proof of interest and motivation of attaining additional IT education and training to develop and grow in career.
