Trailhead Biosystems is seeking a highly motivated Cell Culture Technician to join our team focused on the generation of cell types from all germ layers for biomanufacturing applications.
Job Summary
Candidate will be responsible for stem cell maintenance and differentiation. Be able to set up and conduct experiments and production runs independently or as part of a team. Have good time management skills and strong work ethic. Applicant should have experience working with pluripotent cultures. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience with GLP / GMP industrial manufacturing and suspension culture expansion, though not mandatory. This is a full time opportunity that requires availability to work on weekends.
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to :
- Daily expansion and maintenance of pluripotent stem cell cultures.
- Setting up and conducting cell culture differentiation production runs.
- Preparation of cell culture media, both manually and utilizing automated systems.
- Cryostorage operatons of products
- RNA isolation and quality control for bioprocess monitoring.
- Evaluation of the functionality and characteristics of differentiated cell derivatives.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving within the cell culture and biomanufacturing workflow.
- Data analysis and preparation of graphs and figures from primary data.
- Assisting in preparation of presentations and / or project reports.
- Perform immunofluorescence and functional assays to analyze cell differentiation and maturation.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform scheduled maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of required documentation.
- Assist in the development of new and review of current SOPs.
- Assist in other areas of the laboratory as assigned.
- Help with Inventory management
- Complete order fulfillment tasks such as packaging, labelling and shipping products
- Maintain accurate records of production batches and necessary data.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology) with 3 years of experience. Exceptions may be considered for highly qualified candidates with extensive practical experience.
