Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion in the Charlotte, NC area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Project Management:
Develop and manage detailed project schedules to meet deadlines
Monitor project budget and identify potential cost overruns.
Coordinate all aspects of construction including site preparation, foundation, framing, roofing, finishing, and landscaping.
Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes.
Subcontractor Management:
Select and manage subcontractors, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of work.
Conduct regular subcontractor meetings to address issues and maintain project progress.
Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve any quality or scheduling concerns.
Quality Control:
Perform regular inspections to verify quality standards are met across all trades.
Identify and address any construction deficiencies promptly.
Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Site Supervision:
Maintain a safe and organized worksite. Cleanliness is a priority for our jobsites.
Oversee daily on-site activities and address any issues that arise.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open communication with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Provide regular project updates and address concerns effectively.
Collaborate with the project team to resolve challenges and find solutions.
Required skills and qualifications:
Construction knowledge: At least 5 years of experience and a thorough understanding of residential construction practices, building codes, and various trades.
Leadership skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team of subcontractors.
Problem-solving skills: Effectively identify and resolve construction issues that arise on-site.
Organizational skills: Ability to manage complex project schedules and timelines.
Communication skills: Clear and concise communication with clients, subcontractors, and project team members.
Technical skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents. Proficiency in using construction software to aid in project management and access file storage.
