Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of groundskeepers and ensure the completion of daily tasks
- Oversee all aspects of grounds maintenance, including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and tree care
- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the upkeep and improvement of the grounds
- Mentor grounds keeping staff to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or projects that require grounds support
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory, and equipment maintenance
Requirements:
- Previous experience in grounds keeping or a related field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with tree care, including pruning, trimming, and removal
- Ability to operate and maintain grounds keeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
