Job Description

TRAKAmerica is a national outsourcing provider managing over $18 billion in assets for many of the largest banks and debt buying entities in the country. As we continue to expand our infrastructure, we currently have an immediate opening for a Jr. Business Systems Analyst in our Bonita Springs, FL office to fill a role critical to our continued growth. This position is eligible for our annual bonus program, which is based on company and individual performance. This position is classified as exempt under the FLSA and will not earn overtime for any hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given work week.

Job Description :

The Junior Business System Analyst is a key member of the IT Operations department and will report to the Business Systems Analyst Manager. This person will be required to understand, review and test programs that has been modified or created by a programmer. This person must be able to read and understand technical specifications in order to test new or modified processes built for the operation. This person will be reviewing subroutines, create test scenarios to substantiate the changes and verify that all functions of the program complete as expected. This person will perform the final review of the installed product in our production environment. This person will be backup to the IT Operations Analysts, if needed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

Read and understand technical specifications and test plans designed to support the integration of new processes
Analyze Subroutines to identify causes of defects to assist programmers
Learn command line (pick) language to test and navigate the QA Environment
Design and execute test cases
Interface directly with pick developers to complete projects and tickets
Independently investigate and problem solve issues
Back-up support to the IT Operations Analyst position

Job Competencies :

Understanding of XML, JSON, and SQL

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Experience working with Flat Files and Testing against technical requirementsExperience working any environment that involved reading and analyzing technical specifications and reading and executing test plans against a set of technical requirements

An ability to excel in a team-oriented environment

Ability to present complex information in an understandable manner

Excellent problem-solving skills with complex problems involving a multi relational database environment

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines; a high degree of accuracy is required

Ability to learn and adapt to change

Qualified candidates must have :

Preference with a Bachelor's in Information Management (obtained or in pursuit) or related field or previous data analyst experience equivalent to degree

Preference with experience working in either a SQL or PICK environment. Our SOR is a D3 PICK database and any experience working around PICK, CUBS, or Universe is preferred.

Consideration will also be given to any experience involving work with technical specification and database environment testing.
