Major Professional Service firm in NYC is seeking an Office Manager/ Human Resources to develop, implement and oversee the office management and human resources needs of our staff. The successful candidate will have a commitment to oversee all office activities which contribute to running an efficient, responsive and profitable firm. This position is fully in-office Monday- Friday.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan, lead, monitor and manage the workflow employees firm wide to ensure the compliance of organizational best practices, policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Serve as the organization’s HR expert in matters pertaining to hiring, orientation, leave and personnel matters, on/off boarding, compliance, leadership development, and organizational learning and training
- Manage all vendor relationships, including competitive bidding, purchasing, and vendor contracts
- Oversee reception, office services, bookkeeping/payroll, IT, and mail departments
- Scope of office operations include: office machines, computers, phone system, and office, sanitary and kitchen supplies
- Maintain and update Employee Handbook
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure organizational growth and learning from findings
- Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries, complaints, and any sensitive personnel matters raised by staff
- Support supervisors to conduct annual performance evaluations
- Carry out various ad hoc HR projects and other duties, as assigned
- Lead periodical assessments of hardware and software adequacy and potential organizational needs
- MUST have high regard for clients and employee confidentiality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Ability to work individually in self-directed manner, and as part of a team with a wide range of responsibilities
- Strong time management skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments, with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with and/or willingness to learn other platforms and databases
- Commitment to confidentiality required
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
