What You Will Do
- Support manufacturing functions for Commercial HVAC products and resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement and validate new equipment and processes, and design, develop, and implement process automation.
- Manage projects and tasks, including Capital Investment projects.
- Evaluate and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support and direction and investigate system and equipment problems.
- Develop cost estimates, plans for minor projects, and coordinate with manufacturing engineers on process and equipment planning.
- Provide technical expertise for manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and assist in the design and building of tools and equipment.
- Support maintenance personnel with troubleshooting specialized equipment.
- Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university or related technical field required. MS degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience working with automated testing systems with PLC based programming.
- Knowledge and understanding of advanced quality planning tools, including FMEAs and Control plans, to meet Quality requirements and targets
- Ability to participate in design reviews and assist during validation and qualification, to include safety and ergonomics
- Experience with lean principles and techniques to include Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction and Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, Set Up Reduction (SMED), and Kanban
Additional Requirements And Environmental Exposure
- 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in PLC programming including Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and Ignition.
- Collaborative project management experience leading a cross-functional team.
- Understanding of new product development with 3 years of involvement.
- Experience with creating financial business cases for investment proposals
- Proficient in 2D/3D Modeling software (AutoCAD, Inventor) with at least 3 years of experience.
- Ability to create and read electrical schematics
- Demonstrated knowledge of design for manufacturing/assembly techniques.
- Hands-on experience with key manufacturing techniques including fabrication, precision assembly, and weld fabrication.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, environmental, electrical, and compliance standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as twisting, squatting, lifting.
- This role may be exposed to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, risk of electrical shock, noisy operating equipment and other variable environmental conditions based on location.
