Responsibilities
- Perform medical administrative support tasks, including managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Assisting patients with the admissions paperwork
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Athenahealth to maintain up-to-date patient information.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence, addressing inquiries or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Support office management functions, including inventory management of medical supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow within the medical office.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical administrative support, with a strong understanding of medical billing and collections processes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic and Athenahealth.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage medical records effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
