Job Description:
Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc., a family-run business celebrating over 83 years in business, is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. This position requires a person who is organized, has excellent communication skills, and is able to support fellow HR team members, managers, supervisors, and fellow employees. The ideal candidate will have payroll, benefit, and onboarding knowledge and experience.
This position is on-site at our Bethlehem, PA offices.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate pre-employment and new hire processes including criminal background checks, reference checks, drug & alcohol testing, and E-Verify.
- Conduct new hire orientation/HR training.
- Enter and maintain the payroll system; run full cycle payroll processing on a weekly basis.
- Benefit management, including health & welfare, ACA compliance, wellness, annual enrollment, EAP, and 401(k) plan administration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HRIS database.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining company policies and procedures.
- Assist with various HR reports to be completed weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of company events.
- May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Representative
- Minimum 3 years' experience payroll processing (State of PA)
- Experience with HR & Payroll data transfer files
- Previous HRIS knowledge and experience. iSolved experience is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience with payroll processing in a union environment
- Professional Certifications (PHR or SHRM-CP)

- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Ability to interface with all levels within the organization.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient in payroll and HRIS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Power Point.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
- Available on payroll processing days.
