Responsible for providing calibration services for test equipment primarily in the field of RF and Electrical metrology.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and Transcat internal systems including the sales and order processing systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Genuine interest in RF and Electrical metrology, in order to become an expert.
- Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, network analysers, signal generators and attenuators
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, thermometers is an asset
- Good repair and troubleshooting skills
- Willing to perform extensive calibrations at customer sites
Education and Experience:
College or university degree in electronics, telecommunications, industrial electronics or equivalent
