Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Dispatcher for Vacuum Trucks to join our team. The Truck Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating the movement of goods and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong understanding of logistic and transportation operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation services
- Coordinate with truck drivers to assign routes and provide necessary instructions, including pickup and delivery locations, special instructions and relevant information.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates on the status and addressing inquiries or concerns with the appropriate members of management.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that may arise during transportation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, including safety regulations, hours-of-service rules and vehicle requirements.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of trips, including bills of lading, delivery confirmations and other relevant documents.
Experience:
- Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management
- Very
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Experience working 12-hour shifts
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with drivers and team members
