What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at Transdev?
Responsibilities:
Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling vendor invoices
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Charge expenses to appropriate GL account and cost centers, entering information in Bottomline
- Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by maintaining master accounts payable report
- Work closely with inventory manager to review and verify purchase orders
- Confirming subcontractor billed working hours, equipment hours, and projects
- Proficient data entry skills
Requirements:
- Associates degree in accounting plus 4 years of related experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Preferred experience with government constructions contracts
