What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Clerk position at Transdev?
Transdev in Modesto, CA is hiring a Payroll Clerk. The Payroll Clerk assists the General Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll functions. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
Benefits include:
- $24.40/hour
- Vacation - 0-3 years of service = 2 weeks, 4-9 years of service = 3 weeks, 10 years = 4 weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Paid Holidays: New Years, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independance Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
- Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new employee files & records and submit them to the General Manager for approval; submit appropriate paperwork to the regional accounting office.
- Calculate & input driver & staff payroll into system for processing.
- Track attendance for part-time employees.
- Responsible for fare reconciliation & deposits.
- Assist General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional punch hours.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
- Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
