Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery Drivers to work in our distribution warehouse in Springfield, IL.
Compensation
Hourly wage up to $27.10 per hour
Overtime paid after 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day
1,500 Sign on bonus paid out after 60 days after passing review period
840 Initiation fees to union required after 60 days after passing review period
Incentive pay available but not guaranteed; average $150-$350 per pay period
Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday
Start times typically between 4 : 00am-5 : 00am; work until work is completed, usually 8-10 hours per day
No layovers, home every day
Make 10-12 stops per day; 100-200 mile radius of Springfield, IL
Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs
Responsibilities
Route delivery, driver unload, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart
Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to restaurants, schools, and end users
Drive CDL A truck to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
Use of keys, alarm codes, tablets, etc. for overnight deliveries
Provide excellent customer service
Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
Reporting maintenance / repair issues on tractors and trailers
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of CDL A / Tractor Trailer experience.
Local, multiple-stop case delivery using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack highly preferred
Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, with air brakes endorsement.
Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
