Position Summary
Transet is currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper. This position is based out of our Longview, TX office. The position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of our company. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, project cost tracking, and compliance with government requirements.
The Role
This role is pivotal to the short and long-term success of the firm, and requires a candidate with integrity, experience, and professionalism. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
-Accounts payable
-Accounts receivable
-Payroll
-Financial reporting and compliance:
- Prepare financial statements
- Work with our outside CPA firm
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations as well as GAAP
-Assist with management of related matters including insurance, human resources, and vendors
-Work with our Project Managers to ensure the accounting/financials of our projects remain accurate
-Process improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency
Success Factors
- Proficiency in Timberline is preferred but not required
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of accounting experience; experience in the commercial construction industry a plus
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Tech savvy, with experience using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, and Adobe Pro
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and self-manage for approaching deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Desire to be an integral part of a tight-knit company in a small office setting while being a part of both small and large projects that have tremendous impact in the community

Details
- Schedule: Our office hours are M-F 7:00a - 4:30p. It is our preference for this position to have the hours of 7:00a - 4:00p. However, we are open to flexibility of start/end times for this position.
- Location: Our office in Longview (not remote)
- Valid driver license and vehicle required
- Overnight travel not required
