Position Summary :
The position will be responsible for managing the daytoday accounting operations of our company. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting project cost tracking and compliance with government requirements.
The Role
This role is pivotal to the short and longterm success of the firm and requires a candidate with integrity experience and professionalism. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following :
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Payroll
Financial reporting and compliance
- Prepare financial statements
- Work with our outside CPA firm
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal financial regulations as well as GAAP
Assist with management of related matters including insurance human resources and vendors
Work with our Project Managers to ensure the accounting / financials of our projects remain accurate
Process improvement
Success Factors
Proficiency in Timberline is preferred but not required
Associates degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years of accounting experience; experience in the commercial construction industry a plus
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Tech savvy with experience using MS Outlook Word and Excel and Adobe Pro
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to multitask and selfmanage for approaching deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Desire to be an integral part of a tightknit company in a small office setting while being a part of both small and large projects that have tremendous impact in the community
