Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on various construction projects. This role involves hands-on tasks that contribute to the successful completion of construction jobs, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Duties
- Assist in trench drain installation by excavating, preparing trenches, and installing drain components. Perform concrete work including mixing, pouring, and finishing. Operate asphalt and concrete saws for cutting designated areas. Perform general labor tasks such as material handling, site cleaning, and tool operation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Engage in welding tasks as needed for structural integrity and repairs.
- Collaborate with carpenters on framing, roofing, and finishing tasks.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Restore existing structures through renovation and repair efforts.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Apply stucco finishes to surfaces as part of exterior work.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in cabinet installation, masonry, welding, carpentry, door hanging, and stucco application is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks throughout the day.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Commitment to safety practices on job sites.
