Title: Program Manager

Summary of Position
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and programming of the Adult Day Center, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for adults with developmental, intellectual, or age-related needs. This role includes developing and implementing meaningful activities, supervising staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering positive relationships with participants, families, and community partners. The Program Manager ensures that services promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for all participants while aligning with the center’s mission and goals.
Programs: Day Support Option, Individualized Day Non-Vocational, Vocational, and In Home Supports
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
v Ensure all staff follow program structure, staffing assignments, and daily program schedule.
v Ensure appropriate staffing ratio and coverage of all pen shifts, including transportation.
v Follow Individual Plan goals, assessments, protocols, and supervision Guidelines.
v Establishing routines that meet all individuals’ needs and desires and to ensure compliance with licensing regulations, agency policies and practices and protection of individual rights.
v Ensure opportunities for access to the community are scheduled and staffed; provide transportation to activities as needed.
v Handling of all after-hour scheduling needs via On-call responsibilities when assigned.
v Guide and monitor the work of DSPs and mentor them in their professional development. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and professional; assist with information gathering to identify personal outcomes desired and effect of support in an objective manner.
v Assist individuals with maintaining a clean, safe and orderly program.
v Ensure and maintain records of vehicle inspections, maintenance scheduling, and weekly audits of all BMLLC vehicles.
v Oversee IHS operations; maintaining schedule, coordinate medical appointments/documentation, housing inspections, and staff check-ins.
v Maintain professional communication and cooperative work effort with all providers and members of the Interdisciplinary Team.
v Assist individuals with fiscal management while safeguarding their funds. Retrieving receipts, reconciling accounts, and assisting individuals with spending choices.
v Provide opportunities for incidental teaching in the milieu.
v Perform monthly supervisions with assigned Direct Support Professionals.
v Protect the rights of all individuals served.
v Complete daily shift communication to administrative team.
v Complete Physical Plant Inspections and Fire Drills QUARTERLY and as needed.
v Complete all Administrative duties as assigned.
v Obtain and maintain all required certifications and training. Apply information in the milieu.
v Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualification Requirements
v High school graduate or equivalent required. At least 60 credits of At least 2 years of Management experience. Additional experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred or as required by regulations. Must be 18 years or older.
Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
v As applicable, must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record as defined by BMLLC policy.
v Additional certifications may be required by regulations.
v Required access to vehicle in sound operating condition and proof of current auto insurance and registration.
v Clear background checks as defined by regulations and policies.
Physical Demands
v Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Ability to do daily standing, bending, and lifting. Must be able to stand for 8 hours at a time.
Other Competencies (skills, abilities, behavior)
v Interest in assisting Individuals supported to achieve personal outcomes and to provide person centered supports. Must possess good verbal, reading, and written communication in English; basic math skills; and basic computer skills. Ability and willingness to successfully complete and apply training.
v Must be certified to be free of communicable diseases by a physician (post-employment physical); have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others; flexibility with respect to hours of work and changing conditions; be of good moral character; have an interest in the welfare of the individuals; have training and/or interest in the field of developmental disabilities; and have a willingness/ability to communicate with and relate to individuals, parents, guardians, fellow-staff, representatives of community agencies, and company management.
