Accounting Specialist
This role will focus on performing essential accounting functions, including reconciliations, transactional processing, and accounts receivable support. As an Accounting Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy of financial data and records while supporting operational processes within our retail and wholesale environment.

What You’ll Do
Accounting Operations
- Process daily transactions, including customer payments, invoices, and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, and inventory accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in month-end close processes by preparing reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Accounts Receivable and Credit Support
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and contact customers regarding overdue balances.
- Process and post customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and checks.
- Assist in administering the credit application process and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Reconcile customer accounts, address discrepancies, and provide timely resolutions.
Inventory and Operational Support
- Record and reconcile inventory transactions, ensuring accurate stock levels and valuations.
- Collaborate with the inventory and operations teams to address discrepancies and improve processes.
- Support retail operations by ensuring accurate financial data related to inventory and sales.
Reporting and Process Improvement
- Prepare routine financial reports, including aging analysis and account reconciliations.
- Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies.
Preferences and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze financial data accurately.
- Reliable, ethical, and able to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
