Accounts Receivable Specialist
Hybrid, direct-hire position
Pay rate: $22-23.90/hr. plus 9%bonus
Responsibilities:
- Deposits direct bill cash receipts, based on the accompanying statements, posts commissions to the direct bill cash receipts screen
- Processes checks payable to the company's trust and operating accounts
- Deposits checks and posts to appropriate customer accounts or general ledger accounts
- Responsible for receiving, posting and depositing customer payments; direct bill commissions cash receipts, researching and solving payment discrepancies
- Researches all commissions received without policy number to determine which Producer should receive commission
- Follows up with vendors and companies related to unpaid commissions or other accounting problems that arise within the scope of the position
- Handles all requests for account corrections and/or transfers
- Prepares and distributes daily Cash Receipts to Producers
- Prepares month end reconciliations and reports
- Notifies Account Managers of all checks and stop payments
What you need:
- Two years of full-cycle, Corporate AR experience OR Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, VLOOKUP and PivotTables a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
- Ability to communicate effectively with Supervisor, employees, Human Resources, and Accounting staff members
