You'll work closely with a manager dedicated to mentoring and helping you expand into broader accounting responsibilities, making this an excellent opportunity for professional development.Location : Burlingame (Hybrid, 3 days in office)Compensation : 70-85kKey Responsibilities : Vendor PayablesMatch invoices and receivers, verify quantities and prices, and prepare invoices for payment approval. Track and apply vendor deposits; forward invoices and backup materials to management for approval. Investigate invoice discrepancies and collaborate with purchasing, warehouse staff, and vendors for timely resolution. Manage aged payables to maximize purchase discounts. Process and mail vendor checks, file documentation, and respond to vendor inquiries. Obtain W-9s from vendors and prepare annual 1099s. Place stop payments on checks and draft ACH and check payments as needed. Review and clean aged payables weekly. ReconciliationsPerform monthly reconciliations for company accounts, employee accounts, vendor deposits, and other accrued liabilities. Miscellaneous Accounting DutiesEnter and process company credit card payments. Complete forms, including W-9s and waivers of liens, as required. Participate in audits and maintain sublease payment spreadsheets. Serve as the point of contact for insurance certificates and tax payments. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (no experience required), or 2 years of experience in accounts payable. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
