As a Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives. Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax regulations, other relevant financial standards and company policies.
- Perform financial analysis and prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for property-related transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices
- Maintain the general ledger, recording all financial transactions, and reconciling accounts on a monthly basis
- Review and interpret agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment of related revenues and expenses.
- Review billings, including property tax, management fee, insurance, and utility billings for coding and accuracy of documentation.
- Facilitate audits conducted by external auditors, providing required documentation and explanations as needed.
- Continuously assess accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and executive leadership, to provide financial insights, to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
